they seem to be the only place in York to get a print framed and they didnt have a clue about float mounting when i went in today?

fast print?, by CR on Feb 7, 2007 18:05:11 GMT 1, yea, i asked becuase i thought fast print was a national chain - i think its a privatly owned business now but they are actually quite good and know all their conservation stuff just not up with float mounting i guess.

fast print?, by pastiepie on Feb 8, 2007 2:04:10 GMT 1, I'm certainly no framing expert but at least I know about float mounting, conservation standards etc. It certainly doesn't instil a lot of confidence. You have to remember that alot of framers business come from block-mounting posters etc. They're not all necessarily knowledgeable about framing expensive prints.
