Royal Mail Special Delivery Insurance Claim-HELP!!, by pw on Nov 13, 2007 19:19:31 GMT 1, so i posted a print worth just over £1000 via royal mail special delivery fully insured. it was very carefully packaged but turned up damaged and i have it back now and need to claim on the insurance. i have the claim form and all relevant documentation and photographic evidence etc but before i proceed i was wondering if any of you could give me some advice: has anyone here had to claim from royal mail for a similarly large amount? whats the chances of getting the full amount back? do they put up a fight? do i have to get professional valuations etc? any general advice is greatly appreciated.

Royal Mail Special Delivery Insurance Claim-HELP!!, by Montubu7 on Nov 14, 2007 10:48:31 GMT 1, You may find them to be slippery f**kers, i am currently considering taking legal action against them...
Was it correctly packaged according to RM guidelines?
Make sure you get copies of everything you send them & you may be ok but i can see you having to go to postwatch ( who are equally useless) when RM try & screw you over...
