Marks on print after framing, by invisiblekid on Jul 29, 2008 16:53:09 GMT 1, Hi,
I've just got my first framed print back from the framers, but have noticed a black mark on the very edge of the print about 1cm long, but only 1mm or so wide. It looks like it's from where something has been placed on the corner of the print to weigh it down.
I've only removed the print once from it's tube and was very careful with it, so am pretty certain it happened at the framers.
It's not noticeable when it's on the wall, but am worried it would affect the re-sale value. I'm particularly unhappy as I paid top whack to get it done to conservation standards.
Is this kind of thing par for the course when you get a print framed and should I just ignore it, or not?
Thanks, IK
