Hanging a HEAVY frame?, by Standard on Dec 7, 2008 14:02:59 GMT 1, I have put up my 'F@cked Up celeb' which is very heavy considering the size and the 4 1/2 inch frame. The string fixing can hold up to 18 stone which the piece is well within and I have drilled and plugged the wall twice, so have it hanging on 2 large screw fixings.
Is there a better way without seeing and external fixings to make it more secure.

Hanging a HEAVY frame?, by redfred on Dec 7, 2008 15:35:57 GMT 1, Hi Standard, If its any help I have had an applause hanging for about 18months exactly as you are proposing, I willbe surprised if yours is heavier as this is a monster! I periodically check it "scientifically" by giving it a good downward pull and so far its fine!

Hanging a HEAVY frame?, by redfred on Dec 7, 2008 15:59:01 GMT 1, Hows this for service - I have a very ornate mirror hanging in a bedroom which is probably just larger than your print, have took it down and weighed it ( 29 lbs ) this is hanging on one fixing and the cord is doubled, I have had this for about 8 years and is still perfect, the cord looks like new, so I reckon yours should be fine!
