MATTES

MATTES, by fourputt on Jan 15, 2008 6:00:36 GMT 1, Just took my newly acquired HAND to the framer. Thought about getting a complimentary matte. They told me that there is no way to use a matte that does not require an adhesive. Tape must be used when using a matte, so I just used a spacer and frame. All acid free and conservation grade. My question is this. I see throughout these forums and threads people with matted pieces. Is there a method that my framer is unaware of? And before you asked, they are very highly regarded and the owner is extremely knowledgable and up to date.
