WTB Conor Harrington Original, by ABC on Oct 7, 2009 16:56:57 GMT 1, Conors work has never been caught up in the hype frenzy, his work has gained momentum over the years and his prices reflect this, no ridiculous prices rises from month to month just a steady climb over the years. He is very very talented and I may eat my words about price at his next show with Laz. Out of todays modern artists IMO he must be the most talented around with regards to his shear fine art painting ability. His other halfs work isn't too bad either.
50k Im not sure, it all depends on backing, hype and gallery customer contacts, lets face it, you could pick up a very large Micallef original for 10-15k in 06-07 and before the LA show, I know I nearly bought one, then the prices were plucked out of the air and they have stayed similar ever since.
