Authenticating Banksy Print - Australia, by Deleted on Oct 13, 2009 2:47:25 GMT 1, Hi all,
I'm trying to authenticate a signed Banksy CND print I bought a few years ago off eBay. Unfortunately, at the time, the seller didn't provide any receipt, and because so much time has now elapsed, I can't contact the seller and the eBay details have long since vanished. Usual story - it was my first Banksy print and things like authentication just didn't really seem a big deal to me at the time...
I've been in contact with Dora at POW and have sent her photos and details using the authentication page on the POW website, and she has tried to chase up details from the original purchaser, but again it looks like we are at a dead end there.
To make matters even more complex, I'm Sydney Australia based, so physically taking the print to POW is going to be difficult (will presumably involve two way couriering etc).
Would appreciate any ideas or suggestions for how I could go about getting this print authenticated, given the circumstances.
Thanks in advance!

post it to Pest control in the UK, £50 i think, but if it's a fake they might not let you have it back in the same condition you sent it

I guess topboy didn't read your whole post, but unfortunately he's right, a double shipping is what you are probably looking at.

Authenticating Banksy Print - Australia, by Deleted on Oct 13, 2009 23:13:13 GMT 1, Thought that might be the case - probably worth it in the long run, just to get it sorted.
Thanks all.
