BRP update, by 7eny on Jul 23, 2007 17:37:15 GMT 1, Hi guys, here's the latest news letter from BRP, apologies if this has been posted elsewhere but I couldn't see it:
Dear Jeny
So it’s the end of term and Black Rat Press is breaking up for the holidays. Which basically means Dominic will be off summering in the Hamptons with the Cheneys, Nick will continue his work on curing hiccups, heartache and the common cold (except, to be honest, Nick discovered the cure for those years ago. But he’s having trouble with the soluble tablet – it’s just not effervescing the way he wants it to..) and Mike will continue to make sure the printers work until their protective Mylar suits hang like Robinson Crusoe rags around their ragged, daylight-starved bodies.
But don’t worry, we will return on September 5th with new prints, new artists, our first exhibition and a few other surprises. This means that your families can have their loved ones back. For the next seven weeks you won’t need to sequester yourself away refreshing every other second, or drowse through the night listening out for your early warning software to shake the fixtures and rattle the neighbours.
In the meantime you can still buy prints we have online and c**ty McChops can still try in vain to bring down our system from his musty windowless basement.
Happy Trails,
BRP.
PS. To prove we weren’t telling fibs in our last newsletter, (yeah, like we’d make anything up!) here’s Scott Rayburn’s article for the Royal Academy magazine..
