i know this takes the thread off topic and it is the same kind of tangent that a few threads tend to go on but i do think people should consider originals by other artists when looking to spend serious money on banksy prints.
i think a banksy print has a certain wow factor on the wall - visitors will more than likely recognise it, and can have a similar effect as having a flash car on the driveway. and for that reason i can see why many people want one, that and the fact that many of his prints are brilliant pieces.
having said that having a banksy print means you have one of 10, 100 or even 750 pieces of paper based on a banksy piece that someone has printed and he has signed. it's his work but it's not unique. in contrast if you were to spend your money on an original you would have a piece that an artist has spent hours working on and getting exactly how they want it - giving their heart and soul to the piece.
i have been lucky enough to have had banksy prints back in the day (and have recently bought an iftl) and also have some lovely originals by a range of artists and i do get much more pleasure from the original. you can look at originals for hours on end, studying each stroke or spray, a depth to the work that a print cant have.
well that's my 2 pence worth, just have a look at some of the work in peoples' collections on this forum and 10k will get you originals by most artists in this scene.
and most importantly have fun looking.

If you don't want to spend more, I think you might be better off looking at a different, established artist whose pricing is a better fit for your budget.
