You could also send things as a gift and there's no fee to the receiver (and none for the sender either as long as it's funded by Paypal balance and possibly bank account)
I dont know the full rules and regulations behind sending "gifts" though, especially when there's a purchase involved. You might waive certain rights as the sender.

Help: Jose Parla new print!, by tomjedimaster on Dec 4, 2009 8:53:45 GMT 1, You can subtract the VAT from point of purchase, but then pay GST and PST in Canada plus a handling fee.
I hate Canadian customs they are a bunch of W A N K E R S !!! They made me ship my two motorcycles back to the UK. Two bikes come off the same assembly line, one has a sticker that says "made for UK" and the other has a sticker saying "made for Canada", no other difference whatsoever!! "your bikes are inadmissible into the country sir, would you like us to dispose of your bikes for you?" Five grand down the F U C K I N tube!!
Why the hell did I move back again?!!

Help: Jose Parla new print!, by tomjedimaster on Dec 5, 2009 3:33:02 GMT 1, Yup, 11 years in England, and my wife encouraged me to move back for a while to spend some time with my folks (my dad is losing the plot and my mom can do with some help). I am in Vancouver waiting for the olympics to start.
Sorry for the earlier outburst guys, it's a bit of a sore point for me . I miss my wife, but I can't live without my bikes!!
