Yes JS this may be easy to print but BRP could really go to town with this and maybe get it all grimey like a Faile Personally I do not care for loads of bright colours..

Here's the heads up on a 2 week trail of paint through LA. Most significant to me at least are the photos and film of the painting of the Ridiculous Pool owned by Peter King. For those that don't know the know...
Peter and legendary skater Steve 'Salba' Alba discovered this pool, as they have with many, in the back yard of a vacant house in San Bernardino; hit hard by the economic downturn and subprime mortgage fiasco, San Bern or BadLands has left many properties vacant, like many downsides there's an up to those who are searching... this area has the most amount of pools built in the 50's... which unlike most pools built today are beautifully curved and shaped, offering up dream like transitions to those committed, pool hunting, backyard jumping skaters.
This particular pool got Christened the 'Ridiculous Pool' as it's transitions and shape are God given. The pool remained empty and secretly skated for a few years until the property was put up for sale, fearing it would be brought by one of the property developer vultures circling overhead, which would have seen the pool turned back into it's intended use, Peter stepped in and brought the property, pool and all, the rest is history ... I was asked if I'd like to paint it... I didn't need asking twice.
Thanks go out to Peter King for the film and photos, Tombo Jombo for the constant paparazzi style support and time lapse patience, Meat Ball for the always being down for the ride, long haul or short, Roger 'Snake' and Daniel L for being the LA hook up.

DFace โข UnAmerican Graffiti, by Guest on Nov 21, 2009 17:57:21 GMT 1, The ridiculous pool was absolutely sick when D-Face finished with it. Those pictures, while totally awesome, still fail to give the full impression of seeing it in person.
I think more than anything, it was a special moment for the artist. D*Face talked about growing up thousands of miles away in gloomy grey England where all the pools are square; reading thrasher magazine and seeing the photos of the god himself, Steve Alba, shredding in So.Cal. He couldn't have felt more out of the loop, and now here he is 25 years later, working alongside his heroes... That was a special moment to see, for sure.
The session with Salba and all the other Hurley skaters was straight out of a boy-hood dream. I've never seen anyone skate with such joy and passion... There's something very special that happens when people skate at ridiculous...
That video captures it very nicely...

DFace โข UnAmerican Graffiti, by thesima on Dec 11, 2009 18:33:23 GMT 1, Anyone interested in purchasing this print? I just bought Parla and have been a bit in over my head lately. I am willing to depart with this print to the right buyer. FYI, the print is stunning and the quality is fantastic. Going to be tough to let it go.
PM if interested

There is so much work out there at the moment and I don't see these increasing at all much. I see these much like the superman prints. Get the money and buy the Parla.

I don't think you would get over cost for these right now but for someone that didn't want to deal with JSG I would say the secondary market is the way to go and a few seem to be popping up here and there...

Daniel Silk โข The number or Boards and Threads continues to fall as we simplify the layout of the forum.
Daniel Silk โข I hear a lot of Artists complaining about Instagram in the past year, how it used to be a good tool for Artists, but it's not good anymore, is that true?
anyaart โข For Brett Kern fans, I noticed there is a spinosaurus for sale on E-Bay. It's a limited edition, one of only 60 made. This is the rarest of his dinosaurs. I am not the seller. I already have the same dino purchased in 2016. I've never seen one up for sale
Daniel Silk โข Apology โข Sorry I have been offline this past few weeks, due to a very bad Fever. I'm slowly getting better, step by step, and catching up with things here on the forum on the days I'm well enough. Thank you for your understanding.
Boy Wonder โข I read that they were more or less nicked the same day they went up. Loads of fakes exist.
milou2 โข Would love to see any photos of Banksy's first exhibition at the Severnshed in Bristol (2000). Who was there?*
jirr โข Hi all, over here in the states. Pandemic put me out of business, need to sell this asap. Please send offers thanks so much
matgab โข Steven Harrington - Gotcha first ed for sale.
1nkling โข I can't help but think that a more reasonable tier for people who just want to support the work you guys do would raise more income. Then other tiers for those that want specialist benefits.
1nkling โข As soon as I saw the heading for the email I thought 'Oh yeah, I use that place a lot. I'd happily support it'. Not at ยฃ40 a month though. I have a paid sub for a Formula 1 site I use that is very active. They have a high uptake on subs at ยฃ12 a year.
1nkling โข Pricing on the new supporters sub seems a bit poorly thought out. ยฃ40 a month to have a pinned sale thread being the only listed benefit?
Daniel Silk โข The forum now has more than half the number of Boards than it had a year ago! As we work towards simplifying the layout.
ashj52 โข Hi everyone; does anyone know where I may be able to find a George condo prism print? Any guidance on price would also be much appreciated! I contacted AA, they said they cannot disclose whether there will be any further drops this year.
