Shepard Fairey - Soup Can III, by notworthit on Sept 23, 2009 21:33:10 GMT 1, Achtungbonoโs claim of credit card misuse is completely and utterly false. This is a customer who we are familiar with and who has purchased from us multiple times over a period of several years, without incident both on our site, and direct via phone/email. His Soup Can purchases were not even made over our site. He took our pre-sale offer of completing his set of all 4 Soup Cans from this past May and completed his set of Soup Cans then. His order was taken by our staff over the phone. He did not even purchase SCIII OR SCII on our site! We repeat, he did not purchase SCII or III individually at all, only a full set over the phone. Needless to say, we will not be doing business with this person at any point in the future. There are absolutely no security issues with our site, nor were there at the time of the SCIII release. The site is, and was, completely secure using up to date registered security certificates. Once again, as weโve stated many times, we have customers ordering off our site on a daily basis without incident, no exceptions. Having said that, we certainly would encourage anyone who believes they have a legitimate concern regarding anything, to contact us directly and we will help you in every possible way. And, as always, if youโd prefer to contact us with any questions or place an order directly, you can always reach us via email [info@iconoclasteditions.com] or phone [513.792.9744]. We also deal with our customers via email and phone as well, on a daily basis. Thank you.
Just an idea, take some of the money you've made from your overhyped, overpriced prints and hire a decent PR, because frankly mate, your tone towards prospective customers and by all accounts several existing ones leaves a lot to be desired.

Personally I prefer to hear both sides before making judgments. hearing both sides is sooooo antiquated. snap judgments and lynch mobs is where it's at! i agree ;D

Shepard Fairey - Soup Can III, by buffin on Sept 24, 2009 8:14:15 GMT 1, Don't know much about the rights and wrongs of this but it does seem to be a bit of a PR disaster getting so many people to sign up to Facebook and Twitter only to piss off nearly all of those people. I got an error message when I tried to log on with the password. Don't think its anything shady going on just an incredibly ameuterish operation.

My order was also placed over the phone (in May) on a cc card which had only been used one other time (American Apparell online) and my cc info was also stolen, as it had been a few years back as well (along with other peoples).

Shepard Fairey - Soup Can III, by eyectopus on Sept 24, 2009 18:23:26 GMT 1, I didn't chance the Soup Can. I got another print from iconoclast, paid a crazy amount for postage, then another ยฃ100 tax. The print arrived in a a massively over the top box. I would have fitted in the box mever mind a small enough print, the amount of packaging would have lasted the like of Obey 20 or more prints.

Shepard Fairey - Soup Can III, by Francis on Sept 24, 2009 19:37:32 GMT 1, would it be safe to say that when someone places an order for a print, they want the artwork itself and NOT to get their credit card information stolen? who wants that?

well thanks, but one small error
I have never bought a Shep print - primary or secondary market -in my entire life, never mind using the IC portal or calling you direct
Apart from this teeny weeny little error in your statement, Your post merely confirms my initial impressions of your outfit.
A wholescale slagging, based on false information & mistaken identity isnt good PR is it ?
this also begs the question - if it was not me who had issues, then there must be someone else - this is hardly a ringing endorsement your your 100% record.
very very poor show & very very unprofessional.
I await your "robust" defence - I am more than happy to discuss in the public arena - there is no such thing as bad publicity apparently, though I would personally hesitate to take this stance.

I agree
All I am doing here is stating what happened in my case - it would be arrogant to use this experience as a benchmark of all transactional experience with IC.
I realise that anecdotal evidence may not be the best way to progress a discussion, but from my perspective I can only outline my own situation
IC seem to aggresively defend their 100% record - I will stand and defend my own 100% record - 100% of my transactions with IC have been problematical

Shepard Fairey - Soup Can III, by schlomo on Sept 25, 2009 16:27:59 GMT 1, I have to say in icono's defence (again) that they were very helpful with me, and when my print was lost they did all they could to find it, and when it couldnt be found, they refunded my money. My CC info was (fingers crossed and touching wood as i say this..... not like that) safe, and when i bought the second edition i did not get a message regarding the security certificate at any point, so do not think there was an issue at that time.
I can not speak for everyone of course, but i do feel that slamming a gallery like this is unfair when we do not know the truth of the matter 100%.
However, i have had my credit card info cloned before and it is an absolute bastard to sort out, and quite a horrid feeling. I hope all who have had info cloned get it sorted and don't have too many problems.

i don't think you can say that with any certainty. the price has gone up, but it could simply be another marketing scheme.

Your Stalinist PR machine having a week off then ?
actually, dont bother
your record of pompous bluster and the dissemination of false information by yourselves has said all that needs to be said.
