What Iโve found interesting is with the slightest change the image can take on a completely different feeling. The first version was thisโฆ
This version to me feels how it looks, floaty, sweet, dreamlike. I toyed with the image more, the clouds came over, night fell and it slowly transformed itself into thisโฆ
This version has a lot more edge, a darker and more interesting narrative. How high is she? Is she awake or is it a dream? Will she fall or fly away? Iโm lucky enough to dream quite a lot and I seem to fly around in most of my dreams so Iโm guessing thatโs had an influence here. One comment I got from a friend on my Eelus Facebook page was that if both images had soundtracks, the first would float along to Royksopp while the second was more Massive Attack, I love this and couldnโt agree more. Iโm not really a fan of Royksopp so maybe that should be a sign?
The idea is to release one of these images as my next print so a decision needs to be made. Both of these are just the digital sketches at the minute and need to be painted to add more life and soul to them so hopefully that will reveal which one to choose. Either way, both painted versions of these will be available to buy on www.eelus.com shortly with the print following behind at some point hopefully in the not too distant future."

Though i think the moon should be smaller and she should have a bit of ghostly moonlit shadowing going on. That said, you are the artist mate so you should probably ignore me....

i'm quite tired of the moon background though & the birds are a bit too raven haired
i also agree with low3, shadowing would be a nice touch

Maybe use a slightly other colour for the birds than pink, seams a bit like a copyright piece, not thats something wrong with that btw.

Hope and despair in equal measures works for me! I'm also feeling how the birds bleed off the edge, it would be cool to print on slightly oversized sheets and then crop so they go right off the edge..

I also feel that many great artists over the years have been indecisive,but haven't had the internet as a way of interacting.It's no surprise to me that E would do this.
