One sold at Bonhams back in June of 2016 for ยฃ31,250. Sellers market, especially with this one. www.bonhams.com/auctions/23583/lot/144/ So one sold at Bonhams in 2016 at ยฃ31,250 and the next one to sell at Bonhams sold in the last 30 days, 2017, for ยฃ28,750 and equates to the value of ยฃ40k? I love this place!
There are on occasion deals at auction but these anomalies don't make them the current market. Also condition is a major factor. A S&S went for for ยฃ38.75k on the Forum auctions in March of 2017. Good luck on your hunt for a ยฃ28k S&S in excellent condition.

One: I am not looking for a S&S never said I was.
Two: There is a gallery on here offering one for ยฃ33k at the moment. Actually in line with the Market validated sales. Far cry from the ยฃ40 plus hopefulness. Will it be worth more in a few months? Yeah, probably based on trends but it is what it is right now and it isnโt ยฃ40 plus.
Anyway, Iโm out on this conversation. Talk up prices as much as makes everyone feel good about themselves. I know better than to get roped into this nonsense.

I usually find most trying to suppress prices because they are motivated to do so, especially when they are being blind to the average recent sales, ie calling out an unusually low auction price as market regardless of more proof to the contrary and significantly higher results as in this case. There of course are exceptions when they just don't know current prices, which is easy as I'd say more than 90% of B sales are private and not disclosed to most. Auctions are a microscopic portion of the statistics sadly.

Im only telling it how i found it whenever I dealt with Toshspice previously. Quite often there is v little detail in the sales thread but plenty if you correspond. Equally, when detail has been posted in the thread you will find some excellent prints for sale.
