I get your point on the cost, but I am sure you can go there and back with one print for less than 3k.
I can not see these hitting big buck in the next months.
There is 4 verions of the flags now and the best one will still be the Formicas, canvas aside.

Can't speak for Goz but I've been heading to the Middle East for the past seven years now...even and especially during the Intifada. Yes, there are people who go for the experience and some people even make a living out of such experiences.
Personally, the Ghetto was a damn good excuse to see some old friends, visit a region I love and enrich a story I've made my own.
And when out there we encountered people who weren't buying art left, right and centre. They actually did go for the experience as they couldn't afford much else.

i did mention this in the bethlehem thread when i first came back from the ghetto.
that after i went there, i spent less than twenty mins or so at the ghetto. the ghetto was the last stop of the tour my taxi driver was doing for me. and honestly, i could have gone there and back and missed ghetto and be a happy man.
