David Choe - Triptych - Advice Please ???, by pokodogo on Jun 13, 2009 13:15:24 GMT 1, I have finally got the space to get my Triptych framed and hung on the wall. Dont want to leave them in my portfolio any longer.
"please lie to me"/"loose lips"/"watching you waste away"
Need the following advice : 1) What order should they be hung. I guess as above but not sure. ??
2) Should I get them framed individually or as one big peice. ??
3) If as one big peice should they run Vertically or horizontally ??
4) Has anyone got theres framed...pics please
5) Should I not bother and just keep them and sell them on in time ??
Whatever is decided upon on here I will get done and post the pics...
Thanks

David Choe - Triptych - Advice Please ???, by schlomo on Jun 13, 2009 14:05:12 GMT 1, now pork thats not helpful is it??
Poko, i'd frame them in one big frame if you have the room, although thats just me, i've seen a great set done like that, and also a few framed as individual pieces. I'd go horizontal rather than vertical as well mate.
Chat to your framer about which way they should go, they have a good eye for it and can help a lot, but the way you've written it is i think the way it should be done.....
if you've wanted to frame them all this time and now have the room, why wait? get them done, post up a pic and enjoy them as they should be enjoyed, on a wall rather than in a folder.....
Welcome to the forum man, look forward to seeing how you frame them.

Stupid is as stupid does.
I would definetely go Horizontal, think I would frame them individually due to the size but like schlomo advised, talk to your framer and I am sure he will come up with some great ideas.
Great prints, congrats! And welcome to the board.

David Choe - Triptych - Advice Please ???, by Heavyconsumer on Jun 14, 2009 5:52:51 GMT 1, Def' worth hanging imo. I'd not frame them all together though, as it would be a helluva big piece framed and if you ever wanted to shift things round at home , your options would be very limited with such a massive single piece. In addition to this, it would be extremely heavy if all framed together and probably a little akward to hang. Whatever you do with them, the only important thing is that you enjoy them. Hope it works out, pleasse post some pics when framed.

David Choe - Triptych - Advice Please ???, by pokodogo on Jun 14, 2009 18:09:48 GMT 1, Off to the framers tommorow
Leaning towards all in one frame horizontally with possible black/white border.
Did a good job of my London Girl, Driving Home Alone and Hoopers so might just leave it up to him.
Should get it back within the week so pics will be up here.
Thanks

Let's have a look then! Post 'em in the framed Choe thread for all to enjoy! I need some inspiration too, as Hoppers and Silent Dance are 2 of the next "to frames." Hopefully I'll get to the framers this week or next.

David Choe - Triptych - Advice Please ???, by pokodogo on Jun 16, 2009 10:36:46 GMT 1, Hopefully get the latest peice back from the framers back end of the week.
Left it in his capable hands but hes favouring a double coloured mount (Red and Black) in a chunky frame. Not certain what i will get but hes done a good job of all my other peices.
Will post my pics of my other CHOE stuff in the Framed Choe thread sometime today for you all to enjoy.
Would like comments on the "London Girl", framed totally different to anything else ive got but the colour of the double mount and frame really make it look class in my opinion.
Thanks
