Banksy Donuts Print, by bigtlt on Nov 26, 2009 13:29:28 GMT 1, Seems that distinctivevision is heading down the chrisvidal route on here.
Not everyone needs to know about everything you are interested in or that you have purchased, that is what the PM is for. Privacy!
Doesn't really bother me either way but think it's silly to alienate the people you are trying to buy from. Mr Vidal did it and know a lot of people refuse to sell to him.
Think you might just drive prices slightly higher against yourselves by ruffling a few feathers the way you seem to be doing.

Alot of people on here do the same under the guise of true fans or collectors, at least these guys are honest about their intentions. Saying that, i do agree that privacy is sometimes important, and DV, some people will have a problem with what you are doing so sometimes pms are the best way to go.

Banksy Donuts Print, by craigf on Nov 26, 2009 13:53:46 GMT 1, Is distinctivevision 'fatherxmas' and 'another' (who corrects his spelling) ?
distictvision made it clear there are four of them so if fatherxmas is one, which he could be, he has joined up with other potentially mythical characters such as the Easter bunny, Jack Frost and possibly the tooth fairy to form an elite community of street art collectors ;D
Doesn't matter to me who they are or the reasons for buying and posting on here. Each of us as individuals can decide ourselves whether to read the post and / or to sell to them

Banksy Donuts Print, by kunstrasen on Nov 26, 2009 13:56:11 GMT 1, I'm just annoyed by them since they always talk about fairness and then seem like trying to talk down prices. Yummy strawberry donuts sold for up to 2.3k on ebay. Them saying 1.7k probably would be a better price then the once on the bay is just wrong. Or do I see that not clear enough?

Banksy Donuts Print, by distinctivevision on Nov 26, 2009 14:55:46 GMT 1, Well firstly none of us are yuppies, and if we were i dont think making a few thousand pounds would make a whole lot of difference. To mr. a....failure, when have we ever talked down prices, we dont mind paying what the going rate is, speak to the people we have dealt with so far if you want. We pay a fair, honest amount, with no strings attached, we like to think of it as a trouble free-problem free sale. There is alot of people commenting on what we are saying as a whoel but looking at the number of post's these people have made does not justify them to judge us. We have told people are intention from the start, we're not hid behind other user names to betray others of a few pound. This will be the last of it from our end, if people want to belittle us, comment about us, so do so.
But please do not be mistaken, we're been in the underground scene as long as we remember, best way to put it, when DAZ set up shop in brighton, we were still taggin in london. Now DAZ has set up black and chrome in London, like him, we're changed our ways and hopefully for the better. So please not describe us as YUPPIES.

To be honest I dont care who you are or what you do. Each to their own. But PLEASE can you use better grammer, it makes for atrocious reading.
Also why does it matter how many posts anyone has? If they only have a few is their opinion less important than others?

LOL - You always comment on prices and surprisingly what you consider fair is always below what pieces actually sell for. And I'm sure that you are deepest underground. ;D That is probably why you are dealing with Rolex watches as well. Never seen a yuppie wear one of those... ;D

Banksy Donuts Print, by distinctivevision on Nov 26, 2009 16:21:58 GMT 1, Dealing in rolex's and art makes people yuppies, we were under the impression its where you went to school, how you grew up, who you mixed with, what we will say in the matter is we're here to buy art, what we consider fair is 2 parties, both buyer and seller agreeing a price which they consider is FAIR.
We understand you're drawing us into conversations which we wouldn't like to comment on but sometimes we might have too. Every deal we have done on the forum so far has been fair, just ask the previous owners. But we feel there must be another objective to why your moaning when we ask certain questions like "how much it go for" and who too. We're just curious. No one wants to pay over the odd's for anything in life which we think is fair.
We have said from the start we're here to buy art, im sure there is a number of people here hiding behind other names, doing the same and just keeping stum.
We're not here to buy every piece of art for sale and nor are we here to snap up all the bargains, we're here to buy art, which is for sale at the right price. A price with no hassel, payment ASAP, no excuses and backing out, no ebay fees, or paypal fees, cash if you want, be it sterling, euros, dollar's etc! We do hope people don't think we're trying to snap up all the banksy work on here for sale because in our opinion some piece's we cant justify and buy them. Like an auction, the higgest bidder win's so good luck to everyone. Let's just leave it at that. D-V

Sounds like a cheap tv advert.
What ever lads,
enjoy your time here. Feel free to venture out from the trade section. Theres more to this forum than just that. Perhaps give an opinion on something other than the price of a print. It could result in people being less harsh on you.
