The upside is that many will hit the secondary market straight away, which will pull the resale value down. Couple this with my personal belief that this is a print that many will want to spend ยฃ1k+ on it (I could be very wrong here!) and it should be (kind of) affordable to those who love the print and are happy to pay more than cost for it - for me, I fall into this category, I'd love to win one but wouldn't pay much more than cost for it. I have entered the draw but won't be too disappointed if I don't get one. I just hope that many fellow forum members get one (and hang it), and more importantly they don't end up going to those looking to make a quick profit It's all just a bit of fun anyway ... there are far more important things in life

First of all, I love both artists and their work but for very different reasons.
Second, you're comparing apples and oranges.
Banksy's big (way over hundred) "flat" screen printed editions to Faile's small (sub 20) heavily hand finished, mostly varied-edition prints.
Third, what the fuck you talking about?
Some people do have a short memory.
I won't go into too much details but here you go
Faile recent releases and the actual 'market price' around that time
Dec 2006 - a bit bellow the market value
Jan 2007 - even more bellow the market value
Mar 2007 - a way bellow the market value
Aug 2007 - a way-way bellow the market value
Nov 2007 - a way bellow the market value
Jun 2008 - some +, some - the market value
Mar 2009 - about right or more than market value (however everything has sold out so go and figure)
June 2009 - about right or more than market value (same as before)
And finally, every artist is different and so is his path he chooses - what is right what's wrong?

I agree, as you pointed out, that the image is not the strongest and I think that the majority of people would love to score one just so they flip it asap.

I don't think this image was a breeze to produce especially as they (POW) declared that they've had to use 'exceptionally fine screen' to preserve all the cack-handed detail. Should be a great print to look at. Hope my luck changes tomorrow!
