David Choe • Death Blossom, by Heavyconsumer on Oct 6, 2009 18:26:10 GMT 1, I LOVE Death Blossom. I think it looks potentially to be his best print to date. Can't wait to try and go overdrawn for this baby! The missus will kill me, but it would be worth it.
I have to say I'm not at all keen on the Choebots though. They're big and colourful and insane, but not something I fancy on the wall. Not bad for the eccentric I suppose, but a little childish imo.

David Choe • Death Blossom, by mutant on Oct 21, 2009 21:52:00 GMT 1, For those of you Choe fans, here are two photos of Choe's installation and new pieces at the Giant Robot Biennale 2 (posted by Eric on Giant Robot):
If you somehow miss the chance of getting a Death Blossom from Bobby, you may be able to get it from Giant Robot directly (posted by a member over at the Giant):
"David Choe's Death Blossom might be David Choe's most anticipated print yet. His Choebots will be in one of his most limited editions yet.
How will we sell them?
This works in a raffle system. Send your email address in to manager@giantrobot.com, or be at Giant Robot 2 (2062 Sawtelle blvd) at 2pm on Sunday, October 25th. We're going to pull names. Email entries and in-store entries will be drawn from the same raffle. Only ONE entry per person.
We have 7 Death Blossom and 5 Choebot prints total to sell via the raffle system. This is only for the right to purchase the print. They are not free. If you're interested, send us an email, and MAKE sure you tell us which print you are interested in, and we'll make a note of you. If we start seeing irregularities, and you know what they are, then we reserve the right to delete your email(s).
Send your email beginning now until Sunday October 25th at 12 noon.
These will NOT be for sale at the Japanese American National Museum."

Anybody Not trying to get at this print is more like it. I don't think it'll be very easy considering the demand.
To get any Choe Originals at LAZ is 10,000 -20,000 all day.
550 on his best print to date is a no brainer. especially considering the size of the print.
with all the UK Banksy/Laz/Pow fans on it ontop of the Japanese/Kaws/Giant Robot Graffitti & Juxtapoz/Upperplayground art lovers/supporters it'll not last one minute tonight online.
I wonder if he's putting them up at midnight PST to hook up the US fans?

agreed, most fluid, least forced/cluttery of this style, many developed layers that give back to viewer.
One I can sit with for a while and enjoy for years. anyways best of luck to all.

I am still trying to get him to answer my email. I guess he's not doing much commission works these days.

David Choe • Death Blossom, by artstylee on Oct 24, 2009 6:37:44 GMT 1, As far as demand for the Print Wasn't there 50 prints total 38 through blog email system
and 12 through Giant Robot
But there's really going to be just 7 available now through Giant Robot (Almost half gone before released to public) to the extent that there needs to be a raffle system like a Faile or Banksy print release.
Quality on last print Jimi Hendrix (made in same way as Death Blossom Print) is such that it still fetches 1100-$2000+.
