David Choe โข Death Blossom, by rosstierney on Oct 24, 2009 12:37:04 GMT 1, I'm pretty sure they have. A couple of people on EB say they've scored.
"Hi Everyone,
Thank you very much for your interest, unfortunately the prints sold out within seconds. I wish I had more and am sorry that you guys had to stay up late/get up early.
Let me know if you guys have any questions.
Sincerely,
Bobby Namba"
Apparantly my application was received @ 08:00:55

Really happy I got this one considering I missed out on the print Josh Keyes just released. Considering the size, it's going to be extremely expensive to frame, but it should look great on the wall.

Honestly, I prefer this to most of the other print releases. No reloading a billion times on an overloaded web server and a 45 minute fight to get shut out at the last minute. All it took was 1 email and I was done. It's probably more reliable than an overloaded web server anyways. The only downside is you don't have any direct feedback.

no doubt, I missed out, or at least didn't get and email saying I got one that is.
says something about the desirability of the print if, In this economy, you can get 50+(possibly 100+) of people to line up to pay 555 for your work. then you're doing it big as Mr Choe is.
Lame I didn't get one. But Since I didn't get this one, I must be overdue for the next one(next banksy that is). Positivity!
ahhhhh weak

Well done.
Expensive framing is a problem I would love to have.

David Choe โข Death Blossom, by artstylee on Oct 26, 2009 7:54:23 GMT 1, Print (#1/38) was on display at Giant Robot Opening Saturday Night. (wasn't it an edition of 50 prints? I guess it's 38 reg edition and 12 AP ones) better than I thought --> I though it was 50 prints + how ever many AP's were done.
Excellent Show. Very Crowded though. Would like to go back and see them on another day when all the people aren't there. bumping into you and stuff. Nakamura and Giant Robot did it big. Choe and James Jean rocked on stage w/ James Jean on the keyboards and Dave Choe on drums. another artist on guitar. cool live surf hard rock beats.
Print looked very nice. Originals were great. Didn't see any price tags on anything though.
Although there was a silent auction that had a David Choe Death Blossom Artist Proof Print #4 in it w/an opening bid of $800 . But a guy w/serious dough put up $2,000 on the first bid eliminating a bidding war at $25+ ea overbid. I don't know if anybody eventually bid more by the end of the night. maybee the guy could have won the print at 1750 but still bid 2000. would be nice to have cheddar like that. hope he won for his efforts. would have been nice to play him out and win it at 2025 though (which someone might have done by the end of the night)
(Print comes in a HUGE Tube w/ big sticker that says only professional framer should remove print from tube.)

The way I understand it is that this stunning new choe print is an edition of 38 or 50 (?) and was only available by e-mailing an address at 8.00 a.m. on Sunday for 9 copies and the remaining prints were advertised on the GR website and you had to either attend the opening or e-mail tehm to get a chance of winning? David Choe โข Death Blossom, by fielder on Oct 26, 2009 17:53:22 GMT 1, The release was 12.01 am Saturday West Coast time (8.01am UK time). It's an edition of 38 prints, don't know how many proofs. 80% were available by email on a first come, first served basis. The rest were sold by Giant Robot with names being pulled out of a hat for the chance to buy one.
