Well done for getting hold of one mate!
I'm very close to acquiring one now, so no hard feelings ;D.
Will be getting this bad boy framed asap, so will post some pics.
Good luck to everyone else!

Double standards. No need to get funny "mate". The prints came free with the shirts didnt they? So your selling those too? Anyway, i couldnt care less. Just think your being hipocritical.

David Choe โข Death Blossom, by artstylee on Nov 5, 2009 3:34:05 GMT 1, how do you guys know that bigwilly is the same guy as Soldier___ on ebay?
from the Levis obey thread? dont get the little tiff.
I personally don't have a problem flipping common lame obey prints that are edition runs of 450+. It seems like shep has to pump out 3 crap propoganda street pieces for every 1 actual fine art piece that he creates. selling out?(can't blame him with all the legal fee's he's coughing up lately) don't feel much soul in his work lately. very sterile.
Buying a print at 600 dollars that was essentially created for the higher end fine art print buyers(due to print size/price) just to flip, it is kind of a weak punk buster move. Theres only 37 prints left after this d**k flips his.
But on a shep there are still 449 prints left. so who cares if one gets flipped.
A little more personal when the release is Very small and direct from artist's site or blog.
That AP of the "Death Blossom" print is ending tonight on ebay (Item number: 320441946858) #4 AP sold for at least $2025 at giant robot museum auction. wonder what this AP #8's going to go for?

just for fun i asked my local frame guy to quote me how much this would cost to frame up much like the white frame i've seen in some photos from the show. $1000+ (Canadian). 2 mattes, specialty glass, specialty everything basically. maybe that's why so many are on ebay!
i agree with you packet, it would be worth it once it's done i think.

Yeah I called around to a couple frame shops locally and the rough quote is anywhere from $500 to $1000 US to get it framed. One place happened to be able to get 4ftx8ft sheets of mat so if I don't want a large border, that should work fine. Haven't decided if I want to float it or not though. If this were any other print I'd probably just sell it, but I'm really looking forward to getting this one on the wall.

David Choe โข Death Blossom, by dh on Nov 6, 2009 10:00:24 GMT 1, It's such a large print and really well packed so I doubt you will have damage, also it's a Giclee print and can be stored rolled for longer than a silkscreen.
It cost me ยฃ295 to frame the Choe Jimi print using Perspex instead of glass by Mr Frameman, it looks amazing and I am sure the Death Blossom will also. There is something great about having a massive piece art on the wall.
