I really think Matt is destined for big things this next year. I am a big fan and just wish I could make the opening. As usual invite in hand just can't justify flying over specifically.
I will be in London on the 24th through to the 26th so will definitely be calling in.

MATT SMALL AT LSG..., by mcnuts on Nov 2, 2007 22:29:54 GMT 1, was in there today to pick up a package for mr bendover.. anyway, before then i had only ever seen the piece at Found and the prints at BRP and, to be honest, was underwhelemed. But, and this is a big butt, the pieces in the flesh, even on the floor, looked amazing. What was scary though, is mat wen to show us a piece that uses a bit of concrete to prove it wasnt that heavy and when he took it from the wall, you could see the screw was a couple of minutes from givin up. disaster averted. Anyway, woudl be a great show to see.

Awesome stuff. I'm well looking forward to this. I've seen one concrete piece recently, down at Sesame Gallery, not far from LSG. Couple of lovely new pieces there.

I agree, I think.
Really like his stuff to look at but wouldn't buy any of it at the moment. Quite striking images, a lot to be said for it.

Moses is also my favorite print. It was great to see him painting live at Cargo this 'summer'.
