At the Parla/Futura private view they were very tight on numbers and I would say there were a lot less than 100 people there on the night. I would guess the Neate private view could have as few as 50-80 invites sent. Start searching for those Willy Wonka bars!

I think Paul has realised that Mr Neate is hot property and may not want 500 people queing just to get a print, then again thats what Im going to do if the originals are over 15k. Interested in the pottery too, should be a good show.

They absolutely will not, under any circumstances be available before the opening night so dont bother asking them. They will be strictly 1 per edition, per person. that is to say that everyone will have a chance to buy 1 of each print. the current show ends on a saturday and the neate one starts on thursday which gives them a very limited time to hang the show, to this end paul is not overly enthusiasic about entertaining anyone coming in early to buy work, even good customers as he will not have time to even talk to them. To this end i feel that this will be a show where people going to the preview will have every opportunity to buy everything that is there, assuming they arrive early and have the mortgages in place!!

paul and fiona are not at all 'eletist' but at the same taken then know that, for example' i have been on a waiting list for a neate for 6 months, they send me an invite no problems. I have bought stuff from them before too. If you have never even been to the gallery, spent a penny with them, and/or even bothered to go to the las 2 shows knowing damn well the neate show was coming (its called networking people), then sorry, but you dont deserve to go to the show at all.

i always think private views are the worst things to go to, they are always too busy to see the pictures, usually boilling hot, and everything is sold out.
