How many people buy to put on the wall rather than just to deal in? I know a few members here do, I'm not having a go at anyone, but a 8% turn round in 3 weeks is massive, and the print has been out for months, it's not a surge of quick buck flippers.

Many will probably be hoping on a surge in price, much like what happened with Micallef with the impending show.

Given that Elms Lester wrote this in the original press release for the show: "With a waiting list, including major collectors and international celebrities for his original works, we have produced four limited edition giclee prints so far this year, all of which have sold out in hours", it seems very likely to me that most if not all of the originals will have already been sold or at least reserved. Pre-sales tend to be the way with most major exhibitions anyway.
As for the prints, if you're lucky enough to be going tonight I think you'll have the chance to get them. For the rest of us, it's likely to be the secondary market (though, lets hope I'm wrong).

Was thinking the same bud.
I tried to get the last lot of prints off them but by the time i got through they were all gone, now i cant get to the new prints as i didnt buy the previous lot

I think Elms will have regular customers that spend big money week in week out, they will always get first shout on anything before it hits the wall, I'm sure there are definitely people they have to look after before us rabble get any chance of a look in.
