Beejoir Blood for Oil, by BME on Jul 8, 2007 15:31:54 GMT 1, Oh, well, at least I can relax now! If you're not actually sitting at the computer when the release happens its hopeless these days. If anyone wants to rid themselves of a print drop me a line anyway.

Honestly... absolutely no way. All Fall Down is a great print but there's no way it's a fair trade

Beejoir Blood for Oil, by finsburyparkranger on Jul 8, 2007 21:07:49 GMT 1, yep, I think there is a good chance 'blood for oil' will be worth the same or more than an unsigned grannies .... and maybe allot more one day. If anyone's tempted in parting with Bejoir's latest print because they're skint, think very carefully. Bejoir's going places fast and is very talented and this print run is very limited and very collectible. Don't rush into anything rash with this one is my advice. The 100 quid sale price was a real gift.

Beejoir Blood for Oil, by corblimeylimey on Jul 8, 2007 21:22:46 GMT 1, It's not going to be worth more than a hand stencilled Turin Scam though is it? after all there's only 15 of them and 40 of the BFO, also IMO Turin Scam is a better image.

Beejoir Blood for Oil, by finsburyparkranger on Jul 8, 2007 21:37:56 GMT 1, Banksy used to have hand done pieces going for 500 quid once. I'm not saying Beejoir's going to be the next banksy but I do think Beejoir's best small signed runs could one day out perform Banksy's large unsigned runs.

Beejoir Blood for Oil, by jam on Jul 8, 2007 21:45:59 GMT 1, Thats really what I am thinking. Runs of 40 special prints are very rare today, especially by someone that is putting out a low amount of work and keeping quality way up. Beejoir is staying fresh and I think that will raise him through the ranks. I was thinking the SBFO would trade for a Rat or lesser loved LA print because I read what people are saying they would pay for one around this forum. The figure 800-1k was used, and I don't think that is too out of line. I believe it will be cherished right up there with a signed LV, and you know how rare those are! Demand far and above outweighs supply, and even at 1k, it is an Ace print at a still relatively affordable price compared to other things on the secondary market. I only see Beej trumping himself again and again in the immediate future, and as word gets out these low edition runs will be nearly impossible to find and if you do get lucky enough to see one on the market, it will cost you.

So what does that say for the 15 hand stencilled Turin Scam's? and for that matter the Turin Scam screen print, there were only 75 of those, still a low number.

Well how much does a signed LV child go for? Close to a grannies already isn't it?

Beejoir Blood for Oil, by stuey09 on Jul 8, 2007 22:02:39 GMT 1, Just glanced to see last 2 TS selling at around 296 and 290. Greed sold for 514, but can't remember the last LV signed. The last 2 Grannies , which in my opinion is about the weakest of Banksy's, sold for 982.00 and 815.00.
I think Beejoir is a great artist with a top way of putting across a point, but just at the moment I think it's too early to compare

Beejoir Blood for Oil, by jam on Jul 8, 2007 22:02:55 GMT 1, CBL... first off, I believe the hand stenciled Turin Scam's are undervalued. I think the SBFO on Iraqi Dinars will demand significantly more than the standard print X/150, and by that concept, that it will carry a similar multiple as the a hand stenciled Scam would at ~1k versus ~300 for a signed print. I would also reiterate, in relation to the other artists who seem to have momentum on their side, I think Beejoir's work is the least expensive for a signed piece of quality and low numbered work you can find. Just my opinion of course!

See, its not the beer talking.
EDIT: Yeah I'll stop comparing, very unfair, I don't want to put too much pressure on the man but lets have this discussion again in six months.

Got to disagree about the Grannies, IMO it's the best LA print (aside from Trolley Hunting), and better (again IMO) than most Rats, Monkey Queen, CND, I Fought The Law, & easier to live with than Napalm, (just my opinion guys)
Cats and pigeons, away! ;D
