I for one will not be buying anymore prints of these cowboys. Why were people made to cue up for 5-5 without any info regarding how many were left etc?
Why couldnt you just restrict the number of prints to two each, give people a ticket and ask them to pick them up in the coming week.
Why did you not have more machines on hand to deal with credit card transactions???
Why was a nasty fight allowed to break out and the guys who caused it then allowed to go on and buy prints? ? So much for your security.
This art marker has become about greed and the gallery is the greediest of all.

I don't think it's their job to keep everyone happy or monitor exactly who they are selling to (the staff after all are shop attendants, what qualifies them (or any on this forum) to judge who is or is not allowed to buy prints).

We queued by night ,
More queued by day,
We were'nt put off by wind and rain,
We came from far,
We came from wide,
A queue so large the flippers could hide,
We are not stars just merely fans,
We had no chance against women with prams,
Was the ' fat man ' there ?
You bet your life,
And later on he was joined by his wife,
Not just her , the kids came too,
Armed with cash to buy up tubes,
Later on a fight broke out,
Leaving us wondering what its all about,
Is is art ? or the art of cash,
Well we did our best,

I managed to get to the last day of the LA show and only the Peace Keeper had sold out - the other 3 were still available. I bagged a Minotaur and it was numbered in the 160s, I think. Don't know how close the others were to selling out. Also, they had a ton of posters left.

He sold quite a lot of the lithographs going for $2000 a pop. Over half of the originals had been sold (assuming that the red stickers next to the prints constituted a sale). That's pretty good going if you ask me.

I'd agree with you Alarmist. There are very few artist in this scene that can do what he did in LA.

I have no idea - I was just going on the number of red stickers about. Admittedly me being pissed when I was there didn't help matters. Whether he sold half or sold the lot - it's a pretty good achievement if you ask me, these were certainly not cheap pieces.
