Conor Harrington prints and prices?, by jimmythehood on Feb 6, 2007 10:05:44 GMT 1, Does anyone know what price Laz is going to be putting on their Conor Harrington prints and what images they're going to be printing? Are they going to be as pricey as the micallef ones? Does anyone know when they're due to be released? So many questions, I'm trying to make decisions about what to spend my money on
I went to the new stolenspace gallery round brick lane at the weekend for the first time, and and they had a Conor Harrington canvas for ยฃ3k, which seems cheap to me for him, so depending on the prices of the prints I'm not sure whether to go for that or wait on the prints to come out
Can anyone help???

Conor Harrington prints and prices?, by foundation on Feb 6, 2007 10:10:23 GMT 1, Very few folk know what Laz is ever up to, If you like the canvas then buy it, its an original rather than a print, if you dont like the canvas, wait for the prints, but if the prints take off, the canvas may well go up rather quickly in price, putting both prints and canvas out of reach, end of the day buy what you like, cause you may be stuck with it...
That wasn't much help at all was it.

Conor Harrington prints and prices?, by CR on Feb 6, 2007 10:42:18 GMT 1, conor harrington told me the prices would be significantly less than the originals so dont expect ยฃ4k prints straight off, maybe if he takes off.
I am only speculating but i would imagine the prints are going to be between ยฃ250 and ยฃ400 and they are going to be a small run of around 95 like micallef's early work.
What i would say is if you can afford the original then hell yea buy that - I unfortunatly can't afford an original but would love to have one.

Conor Harrington prints and prices?, by victorwilliams on Feb 6, 2007 11:00:43 GMT 1, I think some of Harrington's beauty will be lost with a print run, anyone who has seen his canvases will know that they are really chunky with lots of layers giving them a 3D quality. I just hope that the print doesn't look to flat and with it being only a edition of 50 there going to be fairly pricey.
If you can afford it get the canvas.

I'm thinking that the Conor Harrington LAZ prints, if the micallef ones are anything to go by are not going to give you much change out of ยฃ1k - that makes an original canvas at ยฃ3k sound cheap. Reckon I might head down to stolenspace for a final look at it and then give my credit card a hammering

I agree with you that they will probably be worth ยฃ1k but with laz its all about the hype. Sure he could sell them at ยฃ1k and sell them all out in a few weeks or maybe longer but with his first print release they will be looking to stoke the fire and make a lot of hype over it, like selling out straight away!
