Faile • Macbeth Print, by gilsteph on Aug 28, 2008 17:50:08 GMT 1, Here is another picture of one. It was called "mirror mirror", its an edition of 25 and really big! They were produced on butcher paper which is very very thin. I have heard of a t least three that have rips/tears in them but it is a beautiful thing.

Faile • Macbeth Print, by afroken on Aug 28, 2008 19:34:45 GMT 1, The difference is also in the paper. Voom's on is on a keyfoods poster, and the other is on butcher's paper, which is what Faile use for their wheat pastes. You need to be super careful in preserving those butcher paper pieces otherwise they will fade over time.
I've got a Faile Love Remix which was done around the same time as Mirror Mirror and the finishing is very similar. It's also un-numbered. I emailed Faile about it and they said it's (and I quote) an "editioned original". The explanation was that they printed 12 of that size but each was significantly different enough to make them each unique pieces. So it sits somewhere between what they define as a "very varied edition" and an "original". which isn't confusing at all

Without doing a sales job on these (and you can appreciate what I am about to say) They are as close to an original as you can possibly get, each different, all hand finished and from an edition that was used for pasting( so faile do not even know how many are still in existence).Mine has the words "Kill"where usually you would see "1986",this according to Faile was referring to " Baghdad bombs kill". There endeth the history !!!

Also, some of these were done on parchment, the one I've been looking at buying from the US which was on show at the Washington event is at any rate, and apparently there were around 10 in total all unnumbered. The one I've been looking at is very different finish-wise!

Like this image... even the POW Macbeth, but these have pure Faile class about them.
Good luck, is it cash only?

Wow...that is stunning! Was that part of an edition or another editioned OG?
I'm more than happy with my one though. What do people think re: framing choice? Simple white box frame with float mount?
Anyone still looking for one of these PM me as you can buy the one I was going to buy from the states!

Faile • Macbeth Print, by cavalier on Sept 28, 2008 20:26:39 GMT 1, Hi - I'm a long time lurker, 1st time poster, so please excuse anything I say or do that sounds utterly stupid
I recently bought a Macbeth (the 250 copy edition from POW). I've just received it, and although I still love it (yeah, I know it's a bit of a marmite image!), I'm slightly concerned that something is not quite right and have two (maybe dumb) questions to ask anyone who has a copy:
1) Blindstamps - It has the POW blindstamp, which looks pucker, right down to the way they tend to be slightly less impressed on the left hand side of the stamp, but, should it have other blindstamps as well? Some sources say that this print has both the POW and Faile stamps, others just the POW stamp. 2) 1986 - Now this is probably really dumb, but I thought that pretty much everything signed by Faile has '1986' (or 'Kill') in the bottom left... I'm not expecting this print to have it, because I've never seen it in any of the pictures of Macbeth, but does anyone know why this particular run didn't get the second signature?
Any ideas? Thanks!

Hope this helps.

Faile • Macbeth Print, by cavalier on Sept 28, 2008 21:00:34 GMT 1, Thanks guys... I'll stop worrying now
I'd still be interested if anyone knows the answer to the 1986 question. I guess the reason why I am confused is that Memento Mori, which I also thought was printed by POW, is double signed yet other Faile POW prints aren't? Is it that MM was printed in NY but just sold by POW?

Faile • Macbeth Print, by slowmo on Sept 29, 2008 20:10:55 GMT 1, I thnk anything pre 2007 is not signed 1986? Macbeth pre-dates. There is a FaileUK blindstamp on faile POW prints, but I am not sure when they were introduced, so they could be absent on some pow prints. I have a pow varied edition happens everyday (with green insect kid) its signed 1986. I'm 99% sure its the 2007 thing onward and not as suggested because it is only signed with 1986 if it was made in New York .

Faile • Macbeth Print, by BONZO on Sept 29, 2008 20:57:17 GMT 1, My Macbeth (thanks Frankie!) has a POW blindstamp bottom left with number in pencil on the FRONT, a Faile Dog blindstamp bottom right and a VERY SMALL Faile2006 sig in pencil below on border!
Memento has a POW blindstamp bottom left with number in pencil on the REVERSE, a Faile Dog blindstamp and a LARGE Faile sig in pencil bottom right and a LARGE 1986 in pencil bottom left!
Faile US prints (nearly all i think [mine do]) have a Faile Dog blindstamp and a LARGE Faile sig in pencil bottom right and a LARGE 1986 in pencil bottom left, and on the reverse Month-Year and Edition are ink stamped in red! ... ... Some (Challenger possibly?!?) is Faile signed in pencil on the reverse. Maybe!!
The blindstamps on all mine are the same size (by eye! )
Hope this helps in some way - i'm no expert mind you, so... anyone??

I have a Faile Macbeth for sale to be shipped from the uk. I'm asking £220GBP. PM if interrested. Otherwise I'll bring it home to the states and put on eBay. I've been travelling for work and will have more prints available to be shipped in the next week from NY.
I hope you're all doing well.

Faile • Macbeth Print, by fairplay1974 on Oct 13, 2011 14:33:17 GMT 1, If anybody has a POW 2007 Faile MacBeth (UK based) that they're looking to potentially sell then please PM me. I'm not in any rush on this, just have a spot where it could look good!
I'm also not looking at the nuts eBay 'BIN' edition pricing that has been there months or Opus Art prices! More Expresso Beans realistic average pricing and the prices they've gone for on here.....I think £220 was the last, can't be sure and that may have been a little while ago.
This is not one of the hand finished Faile editions and it's not one of their more popular ones so I know I can get it for a good price with patience if need be.
Anyway, looking round the £250 mark. If you think I'm nuts on the pricing, you're entitled to do so....If you're happy to go for that, then PM me.
Must be mint and have POW prov.
If you have one framed and you're local to me and considering selling, then I may consider paying a little more.
EDIT: Forgot to add, Memento Mori also of interest!
Cheers.
