Faile is influenced by blek in their paste ups, amongst other things and pop artists....
Who is the artist from the 60s that pasted many posters on top of each other and then ripped them off in strips? American or French I can't remember......
Like you see in an underground station when they are clearing off the posters.

The artists you're thinking about, Stenz, must be Jacques de La Villeglรฉ. But Hains did that too. Hains died 3 years ago while Villeglรฉ is still alive.

I thought it was a cool and affordable idea. I have the prints released by BRP as well and they're great but this is just a completely different thing...they can't be compared.

I disagree. The print quality is superb, and the compositions are fare more interesting. Blek's BRP prints, for the most part, are always so simplistic and dull. It's nice to see these in an actual environment. As stated before, it's a nice change of pace. Great show. The photos of these prints are actually for sale as well, $200 a pop, and personally, perhaps due to the much smaller size, I think they have less impact...

Whilst I'm posting I noticed that someone's selling plastic Blek Le Rat stencil bookmarks on ebay at ยฃ4.99 a pop (Item number: 270228667199) What a rip off! If anyone's thinking of buying one off this chancer then don't do it ... I picked up a handful for free from the counter at Waterstones in Manchester at the weekend and I'm sure they'll have plenty left! If anyone does desperately want one and can't get one for free at Waterstones then PM me and I'll post you one ;D
