Totally agree, not keen on the image and too many artist flog the same ideas many, many, many times over. Be creative arists, do more stuff. A lot of artists work full time as artists and their output is sometime very lazy, eelus take note

well Potsdamer platz is in berlin and was bisected by the berlin wall. Duality is a pretty common theme in faile stuff so maybe she's continuing that theme in her solo work. The juxtaposition of the cute bunny and the spray can with a skull and cross bones on it would fit into this idea. Just an idea I had.

Lady Aiko ๐ฏ๐ต Aiko Nakagawa โข New York Street Art, by eelus on Jan 9, 2008 14:08:33 GMT 1, Right then, seeing as though this is about the 500th comment I've taken on board regarding 'lazy eelus with his 1million colourways' I thought I'd try and explain a couple of things.
Shat-at was the 1st ever piece I released. Back in the day (not that long ago too) I'd only ever sold pieces of canvas here and there and knew nothing about the world of limited prints. I approached the guys at POW and they very kindly took me on board and gave me the break I was looking for. Being completely clueless about the in's and out's and general workings of the print world, and POW being POW, I was more than happy to let them do what they thought was best with the image and take their advice.
Their advice was to print 1000 shat-at's in 5 different colours as it was obvious they would sell and give me a massive boost in the direction that I wanted to go in, which was quit my day job and throw everything I had into trying to become a full time artist. And sell they did, and from the back of this POW and I decided to do the same again for Chewbarber to give me more financial security and help me towards my goal. Then came Wotulookin-at and I decided to do multiple colours again as this would be the final financial boost I would need to allow me to do this full time and not have to worry about the rent for a little while.
At the end of the day every single one of those prints sold, in every colour way, proving the demand there, and I managed to reach my goal of quitting my day job because of it. I've learned a hell of a lot in this short space of time and knowing what I know now I can completely appreciate why some/a lot of you grumble about it and think it was a bad move, but like I said, the demand was there and I don't regret it in the slightest.
From now on though things will change and there will be no more multiple colour ways with my work. This year will show the release of lots of new limited prints and canvas, as well as some super limited prints and one off's. Now I've done what I needed to do to get to this point, I'll be doing everything I can to continue to learn, progress and experiment with my work, both on and off the street.
Thanks to everyone who's helped me get here, I hope you continue to like the work and help me continue on this journey.
Cheers everyone, good luck for '08.

You know it's funny. I like Frank and I've bought some of his vinyl mainly because he gets a lot of runs of the Japanese vinyl which is my other addiction but I knew it was time to get out when he was on one of the forums talking about his next super genius idea..... a dead Che bust. Guess he's never heard of D-Face.
But yea I get what you are saying with those KR Kiddies and how they do things but Aiko isn't going to do a smoking bunny, a winking bunny, a smoking spray can, an anarchy bunny, an anarchy spraycan, etc. At least I hope not. Kid Robot just tries so hard to put out quality Japanese or Hong Kong style vinyl and it all comes off as a parody of the industry with bad quality and execution.
