You make it sound so bad like he's only interested because other people are.
Agreed. I know exactly how you feel Martin, as there *are* people who are currently into the artists that we're into, simply because they see our demands as weakness and an opportunity to cash in on our fandom. However, there are also lots of people who have only just gotten exposed to certain artists through POW, and might have fallen in love with their work with no ulterior motive other than art appreciation. I learned about quite a few artists through POW myself... it's exposure, not greed. Nobody's expected to have known about Titifreak before now, it's not like Da Vinci... perhaps you did, but not everybody. There's probably no foolproof way to tell apart the new fans and the opportunistic pseudo-fans, but we've got to acknowledge that each is equally likely and exercise the benefit of doubt.

I might be able to part with a new Chewbarber if anyone has a "face" or "powerlines" titifreak print that they'd want to trade.

Woke up at 4:30am US time to get 1 chewbarber and 1 shat-at. The site was acting all funny(as you may know). When I finally got through, I got a khaki shat and a chewbarber. When I was checking out I noticed it was the wrong color Chewie, so I went back for a blue one. I will sell one for sure when they get here. And, yes, I only heard of titifreak from SG... but come on, his work is beautiful. It turns out we have some mutual friends and he said he'll find something for me, which is nice because the second I saw the face and powerlines prints I fell in love.

you've don't have to defend yourself mate, pretty much no one had heard of tfreak until this month, even those who had been on the site and bought the book.. tristan the author posted the info on ebay group last month and a few people bought them. No one knew they were gonna hit SG... well deserved recognition for a great artist IMO.

I thought his print release was handled relatively well in comparison to some of the more notable events of late.
Good call on using paypal to handle the processing as they can do the volume. Just that there looked to be no inventory counter passing info back to the site.
Either that or they sold so fast that the guys weren't able to physically keep up the count in time to manually bring the site offline when when all prints were sold.

I have no problem with people buying to sell, as long as it is within reason (buying 10 Shat-at is not). I've bought and sold Banksy's on Ebay - I think it is best to try for a swap, then offer to forum members, and then use Ebay as last resort.
