Eine โข Scare Bears, by johnnyh on Jul 15, 2012 8:29:34 GMT 1, Buy it. Really good price. It 300 for a print or a single circus letter so think you should be very happy at that price. Not his traditional work etc. I reckon that is very cheap and a good buy.

Eine โข Scare Bears, by walkofart on Jul 15, 2012 12:10:57 GMT 1, Thanks for the opinions. I have never been a huge fan of the prints but the canvas with the concrete base looks quite gritty and better imo.

Eine โข Scare Bears, by Deleted on Jul 16, 2012 2:52:52 GMT 1, I passed on an EINE Smiley canvas, orange, for about that price, and not so long ago...largely because the shipping to Japan was an additional 250 GBP.
Have to say I sorely regret that. Would love to have that baby smiling at me from my walls right now.

Eine โข Scare Bears, by johnnyh on Jul 16, 2012 2:57:30 GMT 1, No what you mean on the Asian shipping mate. Mind I have found carrying them back yourself is quite good. Really well packed and then put them in the hold as luggage. So often store at my folks and then collect as it were.
Not sure if your Brit, Euro or Japanese though.

Hey johnnyh--
Thanks for the info.
Have to go with Answer (D), None of the Above -- as I'm actually American. Continuing the tradition started by Commodore Perry all those years ago...
So, you pack or crate the piece, or put it in a Samsonite and just check it as baggage? If that's safe that's a pretty good idea. Shipping anything flat gets pricey.
Curious as to what takes you to China, if you don't mind saying.
You can see a bit of what we have going on in Japan here: www.japandemic.com/paintings.htm -- a link to some recent drawings and photos. Click a banner and you can get to the main japandemic site.
Thanks again for the suggestion...and keep enjoying the Asian life!
