There was a creme egg ad filmed there many years ago a granny skateboarding. I was in a team called the Skatcatz and we beat the park team they were gutted. Got a medal presented by John Sablowsky (anyone remember him or am I showing my age)!

wherabouts was the skate park? there are ramps outside embrook school, but I don't remember a full blown park. There is on in Reading though ;D

We built a ramp out of old pallets outside and wore some old dickies boiler suits we found near by.
great days waxing curbs and breaking bones.

I went there a few times and remember the clover well! too many bmx riders and inline skaters in my days tho.
Jo, is there a place in mile end? used to live there and skate a little bit but never found a park anywhere. There was a great 70's built council block that had some tidy little areas, it was on the way from mile end station to bow, on the right hand side of the road. Not sure if its still there nowadays.

will check the council block out if its still there!
get ya board out n come for a skate!

i was wondering how long before someone mentions Mullen.

Such a positive thing! I think it makes a big difference to a town to have something like that to give the kids a place to hang out.
