Glory Glory Man United......, by manchestermike on May 11, 2008 20:45:04 GMT 1, Well chuffed... almost as happy as last weekend ;D
While we're on a football tip:
It's 23 years since 56 people lost their lives at a game of football. On the day when Bradford were celebrating their Third Division championship and promotion, the main stand at Valley Parade caught fire and within minutes was completely ablaze. The resulting Popplewell Inquiry led to the introduction of new sports grounds safety legislation in the UK.
RIP

Glory Glory Man United......, by shaunyboy on May 11, 2008 21:19:50 GMT 1, Well said Mike.
It wasn't long ago I saw the TV footage of this for our fire awareness training and the speed of the fire spreading is remarkable. It really brings it home when you read the names and see almost complete families that have gone, no doubt kids with their mums, dads, grandmas and grandads. A Real tragedy.
Hopefully now these old wooden stands have gone and smoking no longer allowed.
