He's not handled himself with any dignity throughout the whole affair, which he could have. I'll be sad to see him go - but United are not successful as a result of one player. Watch Ronaldo play without a player of Rooney's talent, vision and ability and he's half the palyer people make him out to be. He'd be better going to Barca to play with Iniesta or Deco if he wanted to continue his world wide search for "look at me fame".

He allegedly smacked the UEFA mascot (Flix) after the Portugal game. I shit you not. UEFA have banned him on the basis of TV evidence provided by an Italian pay TV channel. First time in Euro Champs history that TV evidence has been used.
German press up in arms here.
