As i've said before, I really don't understand why anyone thinks Shearer would make a good manager. I think it can only lead to a long road of tears and disappointment, but good luck to you....!
Is one of Allardyce's main problems that he's seen as a Mackem? Surely you need to give him a bit more time than this?
I've heard today that our (Wycombe's) manager Paul Lambert has been linked with the Scotland job. That's great news. He's terrible. Keep that to yourselves though... I don't want the jocks changing their minds!

Torresssssssssssssssssssssssssssss, by arcam on Dec 5, 2007 4:08:29 GMT 1, Allardyce problem is that he only knows one style of play i.e. Lob the ball up field and hope someone does something with it. With the players we've got we should be adopting more of a passing game. He also seems intent on playing our players out of position, where's the sense it that?
As for Shearer he's not ready for management yet but having him as assistant under Keegan imo would be the dream team. ;D

Torresssssssssssssssssssssssssssss, by a4mnt on Dec 5, 2007 14:37:49 GMT 1, Capello's managed some of Europe's best. With the greatest of respect, surely Newcastle wouldn't be the step forward he would desire?
Whereas England (and the multi million pound balls up payment) would be.

Torresssssssssssssssssssssssssssss, by a4mnt on Dec 6, 2007 1:52:18 GMT 1, good result tonight Arcam. I was cheering your boys with another newcastle fan, watching in glorious 50 inch HD.
whats that noise by the way???
OH. OH. Its Arsenal dropping 2 points!!!
As for Adebayor, if i stood 50 feet away and waved my arm in his direction, he would roll around holding his face. But i lost count the amount of times he swung a trailing arm into a defenders face and they didn't react. Get on and play football you ponce.
Adebayor is the new Drogba. For his finishing and theatrics.

Does he still stand in the wall at free kicks? Or is he done with that now.....?

you're standing inside a house made of glass, looking all short and stout, calling you're friend the kettle - black, whilst holding some large rocks that you're looking to discharge; post haste.

I stand by what I said about his theatrics, even though some sap has negged me for it. He's a great player, that goal against Newcastle was sublime, but i'd prefer to see him play football, not Shakespeare.
As for glasshouses, Rupert, I am surprised you didn't take advantage of Liverpool's loss yesterday. There are a few windows being broken today though.
Should be an interesting festive period.
Finally......footballers wearing gloves.......

Arsenal today on the other hand got out played by Boro. I think they learned from Newcastle how to play the gunners.

I think Rudeboyrupert has been working this weekend Arcam. But when he goes back through the posts I expect he'll have a very pleasant reply to your post ;D
