With Keane, Quinn and the money to attract some quality players - it looks like we might stay up this time!!!
And to top it off we get our derby back so watch out Newcastle - we're coming for ya!!! ;D

As a Newcastle fan it will stick in my throat but.... well done MrH, Sunderland deserved the championship esp after losing the first four games.
Hopefully Newcastle might finally bring in a decent manager and we can look forwrd to local derby next season.

Champions, by tomhills1 on May 7, 2007 13:04:14 GMT 1, seriously though misteraitch i spent many years cursing roy keane, then i read his book. i've never read anything that has made me respect someone so much, i would have killed to play with someone like that and i'm guessing the sunderland squad feel the same. mark hughes has done alright as wales manager and now blackburn but keano has the ability in my mind to go all the way.
shame that fergie is gonna retire next season and you'll lose him to united .
the form of your boys since new year is unbelievable and although the offer of an open top bus was declined before the title was won, i still believe he would have refused in the hope of keeping people's feet on the ground.
anyone who hasn't read his book and has even a passing interest in the game i emplore you to read it. it won't take long but you will see a will to win you won't find in many others. top bloke.
