chelsea: opinions?, by tomhills1 on May 6, 2007 23:54:09 GMT 1, hello, i was at the emerates this afternoon to, celebrate like we'd just won it, see chelsea relinquishing their premier league title.
now i know it's a bit sad but then that's what chelsea reduce you to, especially when their captain, manager and assistant spend more time haranguing the officials, than they do what they're paid all those roubles for. i have little sympathy for those lot and i truly believe they are hated more than utd ever were (no-one has hated us since george graham left because wenger plays such amazing football ).
i would just like to know other's opinions on the worst propoganda exercise in history and a club that personifies the speccy ginger kid at school sh*gging the fittest girl on the block then winning the lottery. not so much jealousy as a sense of injustice and a desire to see them garroted.
;D

chelsea: opinions?, by rolyateel on May 7, 2007 10:39:55 GMT 1, [rant] my hatred knows no limits when it comes to Chelsea Classless bunch of pricks ...and to think they've blamed their poor season on injuries...with all the expensive players they have.
ManU were always hated...but at least they got their money the right way...by being run as a good profit making business...so there was some grudging respect
The sooner the FA bring in a law to make clubs be run as businesses (ie: small losses here & there may be acceptable) the better for everyone
I remember reading this at the beginning of last year...
"Chelsea last week revealed league-record losses of ยฃ140million for their championship-winning year.
The Premiership leaders insist they are moving in the right direction - with the objective of becoming profitable by the end of the decade. In 2003-04, they posted losses of ยฃ88million, which far exceeded any record deficit at a British club."
So thats ยฃ228,000,000 loss in 2 seasons...not including last season & the current one Leeds are now in the 3rd division for running up losses far inferior to that
And Mourinho....an arrogant, rude, bad loser....who'll never be remembered as a good manager because he had a boss with deep pockets [/rant]

chelsea: opinions?, by romanywg on May 7, 2007 11:45:42 GMT 1, I am a Chelsea supporter (more like follower as I don't go to see them play) and have been all my life. I didn't ask for Roman to come in and spend billions on the club and I didn't ask for Mourinho as a manager, but we now have them, that's life. I don't stop supporting them because the management has changed and they now have an endless mountain of money behind them. But they have been good for the Premiership as they have taken the hate away from so many other clubs and are now the main club everyone wants to see beat. No they don't play the most attractive football, but they do win games. I won't change my support just because we're suddenly loaded, just remember some Chelsea fans aren't too happy with it all either. If the manager had total control it would be a far better team. No Schevy, no Ballacky. I would like to see more British players.......am I going on?

i agree mourinho would be a lot more relaxed, maybe even more personable if he didn't have the constant interference from a bunch of idiots (even arnasen), constantly undermining him. what gets my goat is fat frank. he is useless. he has no technical skill whatsoever. oh, i'll just whack the ball and hope for the best. he had a free-kick yesterday about 25 yards out that needed to hit the top corner: cue merv hughes style run-up, head down, leather the ball 8 foot over the bar! in joe cole they have a far superior player, both in strength and technique and discipline.
he showed his true colours yesterday by running off the field at half-time and throwing a cowardly rabbit-punch at cesc. proper hard-man, ron harris would be proud. get a life burger king, now i know your missus is a catalan and i'm sure she's got posters of the king of cataluna all over the gaff but he's nearly 20 and you're 29! it's nothing personal, just a fact of life, he's better than you, got more class than you, hasn't even peaked yet and he's better looking than you my old mallard features.
f*ck off and do another ropey sun advert you mug.
oh, and i bet no charges by the FA either.
and i'd say the same for john terry too, england captain: phil neville's been there and done that. it ain't a big deal son.

chelsea: opinions?, by carlito on May 8, 2007 10:03:59 GMT 1, whats this about a rabbit punch from fat frank lw?
watched the game in a pub and missed it..and sky didn't pick up on it...(unsurprisingly as he's English and they can't do any wrong of course)
nothing would surprise me with him.

i heard from a few people he ran down the tunnel and jabbed cesc as he ran past, from behind. a bit of a scuffle ensued but nothing more than handbags.
cesc ran the second half from our point of view, the burger king went missing a la germany and anfield last tuesday. says a lot about him, not only as a player but as a person too.
seriously, he is woeful and it pains me to say it but on current form i'd have carrick in there with gerrard. in fairness joe cole looked good and i think there is better to come from him, so england fans have some hope - as long as he gets picked!

chelsea: opinions?, by ohmygosh on May 8, 2007 18:47:22 GMT 1, As a happy hammer I am delighted Chelsea/Fat Frank didn't win the league.
Feel sorry for Terry & Cole who are good players and have been at the club a long time.
This season Chelsea have ruined the balance of 'galactico's' bringing in Shev and Ballack and i think this is why they haven't won anything major. Im sure Chelsea fans would prefer to have kept Eidur and not sold him to pave way for Shev to join. But Eidur is not a Galactico so he had to go. What have Real Madrid won in 5 years with ZZ, Ronaldo, beckham, Robinho, R Carlos etc etc?
Chelsea, i think, get where they are by having individual brilliance which can score a goal in the blink of an eye, as a team unit playing good football they fall well short. Unfotunately Man U, as a team, are miles better. Creatively, goals, flair etc etc. Its a shame they didn't get equal points as it would prove what having this in your team achieves.
C'mon u IRONS!!

chelsea: opinions?, by Daniel Silk on May 8, 2007 18:54:53 GMT 1, Watched the Chelsea v Liverpool game last week and I started out wanting Chelsea to win, but after about 15 minutes I changed my mind coz they just dint seem to want to play football too much diving, shirt pulling Liverpool were fast, passing the ball around, and really wanted to put on a display ;D Chelsea looked like they just wanted to grind out a result Liverpool deserved to win in the penalty shootout.
