Had a brief moment where I actually saw him as a regular guy...which stopped abruptly when they replayed the JT sending off at WHL. Yeah I watched it. I actually felt a sorry for him, he was one of the better referees we had, he just lost all credibility after the World Cup. Which is shame.

Totally agree carlito. I don't think he understood the concept of good refereeing.

Inside Sport, by streetgirl on Jun 5, 2007 14:16:10 GMT 1, I had a moment where I felt bad for him, but I guess add the family/real guy element to most 'villains' and how the name calling effects them, then anyone with a concious might have a pang...thing is, it's very easy for him to deny the arrogance and ego...yet of all the footie matches from the conference all the way up to world cup, who else makes the headlines the way he does?
10 pence says he'll have his own foray in the world of tv/media/presenting. 10 whole pence.

Inside Sport, by tomhills1 on Jun 12, 2007 19:57:15 GMT 1, only just seen this thread i read an interview with the thing from tring - bet he likes that name - in arena, last year maybe. it was so so until he described how he applies the personal touch to refereeing.
i'll paraphrase slightly: "i speak to the players during a game, it can help diffuse a situation. i also know when it's time to be firm. recently i was refereeing liverpool and steven gerrard needed a couple of words to calm down and stop making persistant fouls. when he then made another one, i booked him. he wasn't happy, he said 'but graham, i thought you were my friend?'".
the build up to the booking is roughly the truth, the quote from poll about gerrard is word for word. no lie.
very, very, very deluded.

He is a deluded moron. I can't see Stevie G classing him as anything other than a jumped up t*at.
