So this Championship League...., by lardy on Jul 4, 2007 14:15:27 GMT 1, After taking a beating for most of last season (albeit an exciting last 10 games as we tried to keep ourselves up) Charlton may actually win a few games this term. I reckon Pards is the right man for the job and a shrewd operator when it comes to transfers.
Cant wait for the first Palace game, should be fun.
Anyone else support fizzy league teams?

So this Championship League...., by lardy on Jul 4, 2007 15:03:37 GMT 1, 85 - 91, then upton park.
A close friend is a Palace fan and delighted in the relegation last season and from that point forward has had only 2 games in his mind, charlton palace home and away. After we sent palace down season before last I think he hwants the win even more....

So this Championship League...., by lardy on Jul 4, 2007 15:20:14 GMT 1, Where abouts in Lewisham? My missus is from Forrest Hill. She too was a palace fan, to the extent of even having the full palace replica tracksuit. Now we live in Charlton she rarely wears it anymore.

So this Championship League...., by lardy on Jul 4, 2007 15:40:15 GMT 1, Haha. Its generally pretty good on a match day now. Where I sit we always get the odd away fan sneak in which is good for the banter.
The missus familly are all mad millwall fans. There was a pre season freindly last season at the den. I got a call in the morning as they new i went to the valley, did i want to go along, yep i'll go but i'll have to get a ticket for the away end etc etc. Long story short they convinced me to sit in the main stand with them as they alluded to my Charlton leanings for the whole 90mins just loud enough so all around could here. To say the least i was a little uncomfortable as we went on to stuff em.
Now those fans are propper loonies.

So this Championship League...., by lardy on Jul 5, 2007 15:45:57 GMT 1, Yeah roll on the new season.
My missus was soooo pleased to find out the fizzy league starts 2 weeks earlier than the prem.
We signed Nicky Weaver from Man City today. Quite funny as over the past couple of seasons he has been enemy no.1 at the valley.

So this Championship League...., by tomhills1 on Jul 8, 2007 20:29:03 GMT 1, yo lardy, my best bud is charlton. i watched them a couple of times, against wolves ( scott parker's last game ) and v wigan. have to say, they are the best behaved of all the south london teams, though that is not really a compliment is it? i think pards will do ok, my man went to a fans forum with him and richard murray and really liked what he heard, plus he was very anti the former west ham man.
'fizzy' league is probably the hardest to get out of but i think the groundwork is good and you'll do ok. you need a clive mendonca type though mind, surely with the money from bent there is no rush to get promotion in the first season?
could be worse, you could be a blade and have bryan robson in charge
