I would imagine he'd had enough of having players bought for him that he didn't want in the first place & havinga director of football forced upon him who then undermined what he was doing.

I think the bloke is a complete t**t, and an arrogant bad loser, but also a good manager.

no, not a fan...Arsene can be a bad loser at times, but Mourinho was in a league of his own, even worse than Fergie...blamed everyone but himself / his team
He is a good manager, no question, but don't forget the amount that was spent on players over the last 3 years...and in the preceding 2 years under Ranieri...there's a few other managers that would probably have done just as well as him given those resources (Steve Coppell for one). Then compare to what Wenger has achieved on his (sometimes self imposed) shoestring budget!
Also, his style of football was boring as hell, which is why you only had 25,000 watching a champions league game, and Arsenal had 38,000 watching the reserve team

Whoever takes over from him will probably be OK, and the team will do well eventually, but I thing the turmoil will hamper their results for a few weeks...and you've a HUGE game at the weekend

my point is who where blackburn they werent even in the first division, and a couple of mill later they won the league.
they didnt spend anywhere near what chelsea did, even if you factor in inflation and rising player fees, he bought shearer from southampton for much cheaper than he sold him for.
can the same be said for any of the chelsea squad.
