Chelsea v Man U - A stinker?, by streetgirl on Sept 24, 2007 17:45:54 GMT 1, Okay, so I know Chelsea are not the favourite team in the world, but you can't change who you support and I know as a fan we can all be biased at times, but didn't yesterdays game stink just a little?
- Mikel wrongly shown a straight red - First goal scored in the 3rd minute of extra time when only 2 had been called. - Rooney not being shown a second yellow for barging Ashley Cole. - The dramatic fall of Saha winning a penalty in the 89th - Joe Cole not being sent of for his tackle on Ronaldo (this was a blatant red card).
I fully accept the club is fucked right now and all the shit that has come with the millions and the ex manager, but it is what it is and I just couldn't help but think this game was trickled with inbalances. Even my tormentor across the road didn't text following yesterdays result...and he texts any time anything goes well for Man U or shit for Chelsea.

Chelsea v Man U - A stinker?, by corblimeyswife on Sept 24, 2007 21:14:57 GMT 1, I can't believe I am saying this as a Chelsea fan, but my heart just was not in yesterdays match at all. If I feel like that then it makes you think just how bad the team must have been feeling. I agree that Saha made a real meal out of being clipped and even John Terry had an angry word with him, but Mikel should not have been sent off and the goal in the 3rd minute, come on!!!

Chelsea v Man U - A stinker?, by streetgirl on Sept 27, 2007 14:53:46 GMT 1, I hear you there CBW - win, lose or draw the club (team and fans) seemed a little out of sorts, hearts not fully in it, despite the brave show of face.
I'm away on business but hear we finally scored goals against, er, Hull. Hurrah! Will take what I can.
PS: Is it true Chelsea were charged over that game? I think that was a pretty calm display by the team given their past aggressions.
I suppose I could check the bbc website for confirmation of all this, but it would mean I can't scour this site for tid bits.
