The Best Film Ever, by Black Apple Art on Feb 1, 2015 21:18:54 GMT 1, I am going to recommend two documentaries since both cover almost unimaginable human acts and both events having 70th anniversaries.
The Night Will Fall (Dec 2014) was done by Spielberg as he uncovered truly horrifying footage taken by British and Soviet troops as they discovered and liberated the concentration camps which was suppressed until now. White Light, Black Rain (2007) came out in 07 and I remember after seeing it that I truly felt ill at what "we" the USA had done. This Aug will mark 40 years since the USA dropped two atomic weapons on two japanese civilian cities killing hundreds of thousands of innocent men, women and children.

Really, really enjoyed this film. From a female director too, which is great to see… women are terribly underrepresented in the movie business.

now hold on before you dismiss it as kiddie fodder
Tim Burtons first major movie and its a homage to 1001 other films, sparkling and has an adult side that makes it worthwhile viewing for adults at the same time
Its a real oddity for anyone not familair with PW, but its a must see

The Best Film Ever, by Sohoria on Apr 9, 2015 23:23:12 GMT 1, I just finished watching Fargo, never seen before and for some reason always imagined would be a boring film to watch. Such an amazing film i don't know the reason why it works but it has got me onto watching the tv series.

I watched this. Certainly evokes some mixed emotions. Mainly to do with the age at which a child might determine for themselves that they are transgender, versus the risk of phychological damage of doing nothing.

The mini series is brilliant. I posted about it on here at the time it was shown in the uk. Mainly brilliant due to the fabulous performance of Billy Bob Thornton.

Checkout the staircase Capturing the freedmas Sword and scale podcast are good, as as the serial pod cast if someone somehow missed that, As per the observations of @coach. I heard very young children making massive life choices and parents kinda standing back. At one point I was screaming at the screen "How about we talk about this in a year or or 3!" I'd also question just where on earth the kids are getting these feelings from.I would hate to think it might have something to do with american kids tv!

The wife had this on in the background and yes I was asking the same questions, how on earth can children at that age even begin to have those thoughts......when did this kind of subject become so acceptable in our daily life's that a child who should be thinking about toys and theme parks, holidays and general kiddie stuff is exposed to thought processes that could only have come from an adult, or as you said couriousgeorge TV,
the parents seemed to support it in every case but when faced with simple questions from Louis, started crying or questioning their own ability to raise a child correctly, and this is where the problem lies thus forth, some parents are so out of touch and the media play a massive part in shaping the future generations that the parents believe the child must be right and use that as their learning tool to being a parent...... Scary!!!?
