Best Album To Chill To?, by jellya on Jul 16, 2008 22:01:10 GMT 1, Both excellent choices scavos and slammer. Played 74:16 today, such a beautiful beautiful album.
Aphex Selected Ambient Works 1 for me still. It's a bit obvious but I get lost in it's fuzziness every time ... class.
And pretty much anything by GAS (Wolfgang Voigt)

Best Album To Chill To?, by scavos on Jul 17, 2008 0:17:47 GMT 1, Not heard of them slammer. Will check them out. Yeah selected Ambient Works (1st) still does it for me everytime jellya! I'll check out GAS too. And funny you mention that album eddie. I bought it on vinyl from a charity shop about a month ago and it had a few old clippings and promo slips in with it. The last slip of paper I pulled out was a signed cheque by the main man Cauty by way of a refund for someone. A nice find especially as it only cost me ยฃ1. The cover makes me smile too.

Best Album To Chill To?, by angel41 on Jul 18, 2008 20:30:25 GMT 1, Some nice choices on here. I'd have to go with a 'strangely isolated place' by ulrich schnauss. It's an absolute classic. No filler!

Nice One tomjedimaster. I'm actually convinced that anyone who listened to 'a strangely isolated place' would love it. It's just one of those perfect albums. If they didn't I'd demand to know why.
By the way does anyone know when the new Massive Attack album's out? I've heard a rumour ex Mazzy Star singer Hope Sandoval is appearing on one of the tracks. Now that I've got to hear. She's a gem.

The Orb : The Orb's Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld
Yeeessss. An album that defined a decade for me. I know its the obv choice, but little fluffy clouds still touches parts that other songs cannot reach. Perpetual dawn is beautiful. And "a huge ever growing pulsating brain that rules from the centre of the underworld" has gotta be in there witha shout for the best track name ever!! c

Best Album To Chill To?, by Coach on Jul 25, 2008 23:46:44 GMT 1, Robinbanks - great albums there - Air are up there. It's worth checking, if you havnt already, their soundtrack album to The Virgin Suicides. Came out just before Walkie Talkie. Track 12 - Dead Bodies - is worth the price of the album c

I first saw the Orb in Leeds in 19blahblahblah (think '91???). I did a huge amount of acid with three friends and it was a truly life altering experience. Exceptional. Awesome.
All your 'Johnny Come Latelys' were doing pills but us old timers knew better....
Even now, when I listen to them, everything takes on a slightly pink/green tinge, just around the edges...

Daniel Silk โข The number or Boards and Threads continues to fall as we simplify the layout of the forum.
Daniel Silk โข I hear a lot of Artists complaining about Instagram in the past year, how it used to be a good tool for Artists, but it's not good anymore, is that true?
anyaart โข For Brett Kern fans, I noticed there is a spinosaurus for sale on E-Bay. It's a limited edition, one of only 60 made. This is the rarest of his dinosaurs. I am not the seller. I already have the same dino purchased in 2016. I've never seen one up for sale
Daniel Silk โข Apology โข Sorry I have been offline this past few weeks, due to a very bad Fever. I'm slowly getting better, step by step, and catching up with things here on the forum on the days I'm well enough. Thank you for your understanding.
Boy Wonder โข I read that they were more or less nicked the same day they went up. Loads of fakes exist.
milou2 โข Would love to see any photos of Banksy's first exhibition at the Severnshed in Bristol (2000). Who was there?*
jirr โข Hi all, over here in the states. Pandemic put me out of business, need to sell this asap. Please send offers thanks so much
matgab โข Steven Harrington - Gotcha first ed for sale.
1nkling โข I can't help but think that a more reasonable tier for people who just want to support the work you guys do would raise more income. Then other tiers for those that want specialist benefits.
1nkling โข As soon as I saw the heading for the email I thought 'Oh yeah, I use that place a lot. I'd happily support it'. Not at ยฃ40 a month though. I have a paid sub for a Formula 1 site I use that is very active. They have a high uptake on subs at ยฃ12 a year.
1nkling โข Pricing on the new supporters sub seems a bit poorly thought out. ยฃ40 a month to have a pinned sale thread being the only listed benefit?
Daniel Silk โข The forum now has more than half the number of Boards than it had a year ago! As we work towards simplifying the layout.
ashj52 โข Hi everyone; does anyone know where I may be able to find a George condo prism print? Any guidance on price would also be much appreciated! I contacted AA, they said they cannot disclose whether there will be any further drops this year.
