This Sunday's Observer Review will offer readers an exclusive second chance to buy tickets for all performances* at the Meltdown Festival at Southbank Centre.
Between 14 - 22 June, Massive Attack, one of the most influential bands of the past 20 years, take over all 21 acres of Southbank Centre - including the riverside, Royal Festival Hall and Queen Elizabeth Hall - for nine days of concerts, DJ sets, talks, films and visual art chosen by the band.
Tickets go on sale to the public today, Friday 25 April, and many events are expected to sell out within hours.
Massive Attack open and close this year's festival with concerts in Royal Festival Hall. Other artists performing throughout the week include Grace Jones, Elbow, Horace Andy, Stiff Little Fingers, Yellow Magic Orchestra, Martina Topley Bird, Mark Stewart & The Maffia, Terry Callier, George Clinton & Parliament / Funkadelic and many more. Other highlights include a unique performance in Royal Festival Hall by the Heritage Orchestra of Vangelis' majestic soundtrack to the dystopian classic Blade Runner mixed live by Massive Attack and a screening of the Academy Award-winning documentary Taxi to the Dark Side in conjunction with legal action charity Reprieve.
