Make my Xbox 360 work!, by Keeping It Council on Nov 12, 2007 19:32:12 GMT 1, Hey I bought an Xbox 360 and can't work out how on earth to make it go online, I have AOL broadband and the modem has an Ethranet cable from the phone to the back of it and then a strange square shaped plug which turns into a usb that goes into the comp!
So obviously I can't connect direct I went to PC World and the confused me with talks of routers etc
So can someone explain simple what i need and and what i need to do (pictures would be good)
Or if anybody in Newcastle wants to do it for me theres a few beers in it 4ya! ;D

okay u take out the connection from your pc to your modem and plug the xbox connection in via this...it just means you can't have your pc and your xbox connected to the Internet at the same time...

plug it into your modem using a standard cat5 network cable and then plug your computer into one port of the switch and the xbox into another. If you look harder you can probably find a cheaper switch too.

Dude my mate has just got his xbox live sorted and sundays has become the official gaming day in my world. Honestly i feel like a teenager again getting a couple of quid to go down to the arcades and stand all afternoon playing Street Fighter 2! ;D ;D
He has so many games bot strangelhold the john Woo game is amazing and of course Ghost Recon 2 is the bollox i wish i was young again so i could blag my parents to get me one of these for xmas

A lot of my income goes on games. All the main releases i get on a friday afternoon after work. Losing my life to call of duty 4 at the moment. Got about 30games for me 360
