WWDC 2008 - new iphone ?, by low3 on Jun 10, 2008 1:25:27 GMT 1, I think they're a bit big really for a mobile phone: yes they're nice and slim but you pay for having such a big nice screen with them being a bit unwieldy to use as an actual phone.
And i was hoping they'd upgrade the camera a bit. (2 megapixels FFS!!!!)
.......... Still might get one though, the white ones look sweeeeee-eeeet!

WWDC 2008 - new iphone ?, by idris on Jun 10, 2008 5:48:31 GMT 1, iphone wont b available with any other carrier in the uk for another 3-4years. o2 paid a lot of money to have the exclusive with apple. of-course - once unlocked it can be used with any network. in terms of features the iphone is missing on full bluetooth & mms. It's not enough that you can't send an mms nor bluetooth a pic on such a phone like the iphone. Having said that i've been using mine a few months and I really don't miss the above two features. It makes up with full video playback, hyuuuuuuuge screen, safari web browser, touch screen and looks wise imo there's nothing out there to rival the iphone.

WWDC 2008 - new iphone ?, by rrrich on Jun 10, 2008 8:32:43 GMT 1, o2 have announced free upgrades for existing iphone customers provided you agree to a new contract. im going to downgrade to a ยฃ35 contract which you can do after 6 months of being ripped off on the ยฃ45 tariff and get the new one at the same time. have to get a new 18 month contract tho.

WWDC 2008 - new iphone ?, by They call me Stephen on Jun 10, 2008 9:36:52 GMT 1, looks like it won't be so easy to get these unlocked after all...
"AT&T's President of National Distribution Glenn Lurie revealed that all iPhone activations will take place in-store. This is in contrast to the current system in which customers may activate their iPhones from home using iTunes. Additionally, Reuters reports that AT&T has said that purchasers who do not activate their iPhones within 30 days will be subject to penalties. No details on these proposed penalties have been made public."
