iphone........., by Run Pig Run on Nov 14, 2007 20:04:41 GMT 1, not enough room on it for the average persons cd collection. You don't need to carry around all your music, I've got over 1200 CD's but I'm happy with having around 70 of them on my 4gig iPod nano in my pocket, that's around 70 hours worth, and the iPhone has 8gig! plenty IMO you can always dock it and change the music every now and then. What did you do a few years ago before MP3 players were around? I bet you'd of been happy with 10 CDs on the move.
i have a 60 gig at the moment and have to delete something off it when i want something new. i'm drive and listen to my ipod and get through about 6-9 albums just while i'm at work, then i get home smack it into my bose speaker dock and have music playing while i'm cooking, reading and on the computer - probably 10-15 albums a day. all my cd's are now in the loft and the old (huge) cd shelving has gone to make way for prints. i recommend it.
and a few years ago i had a case with hundreds of cdrs in it - that too is now in the loft. i could chop what i actually listen too down to about 20gig but i would have to go through each album and delete each song i didn't like - can't be arsed.
in short: not for me
