Eine can't believe it, by pezlow on Jun 20, 2007 9:49:04 GMT 1, Just want to let off some steam. I bought a black eine monster from POW in february. I have waited and waited and waited for it to be delivered and have had numerous broken promises from Dora - it will be with you next week, it will be sent out no later than Tuesday blah blah blah.
Then finally this morning it arrives. And because of POW's cr*p packing it has a huge dent in it.
So what do I do - return it to POW for another 3 month wait? Keep it and try and live with the dent (it's pretty sizeable)? Get a refund and buy one off the bay (the last monster sold for less than cost)?

pow seem to have a lot of work to do keeping people happy. If they didnt have Mr B not many people would be using there service

Why is that when it comes to POW, people don't ask for compensation?
Personally, I'd send it back, and email Dora with your disappointment. She is obviously aware of who you are due to your liaising with her and you've been a loyal customer for a long time. I'd also ask for my money back PLUS some sort of compensation - afterall, you've been waiting for MONTHS and this just isn't on! Don't ask directly for specific compo - put the ball in their court and get them to come up with a suggestion as to how to appease you.
If you don't ask, you don't get. Its sad days when it's easier to buy off the bay than direct from the source!

The amount of cost and effort POW are going to to replace prints would be better used by taking more time and effort in the packaging, I'd love to know how many returns due to damage Black Rat Press get, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was none.

Yes they do offer a great service for replacements, but you still lose your postage back to them everytime (about a fiver) and they could save all this trouble for themselves and their customers in the first place.

I've actually only had 1 out of 6 POW prints arrive damaged, but I decided to go for money back rather than replacement as I didn't even like the print in the flesh anyway as it turned out, so just lost a fiver.
