New Eelus go live and his site melts down..., by marshman on Jun 29, 2007 8:35:49 GMT 1, I just managed to get a full set to compliment my Shat-Ats with no problem whatsoever.
Now maybe its because it is not a Banksy and therefore there are not millions of people trying at the same time however maybe E has sorted out the web traffic issue and POW could learn from him

I think it would look good to have them all framed in the same style and hung on a single wall. 10 is a bit of an odd number though - think a square of nine or rectangle of 12 would look cool. You'd need a damn big wall though and framing wouldn't be cheap.

New Eelus go live and his site melts down..., by marshman on Jun 29, 2007 9:06:02 GMT 1, Funnily enough I had thought about putting them into a rectangle of 10 along one wall that I have as they should just fit.
You are right that framing will not be cheap, but I am planning an experiment by making my own frames as I make and design furniture in my spare time so have the tools etc.....
Will post the outcome when I get it done

Cool. Look forward to seeing the finished product.
IMO a simple black frame, no mount (obviously with spacers) and the frames hung so they're touching would work well in a 3x3 or 3x4 formation. Bit like the way Gilbert & George compose and hang their images. It would also play on the Warhol iconography.

New Eelus go live and his site melts down..., by marshman on Jun 29, 2007 10:52:07 GMT 1, jjoschi, I was thinking of actually making ONE frame to encompass all 5 prints in a row with vertical bars to make it look like several frames close together....
Tell me about spacers? I am fairly new to framing my stuff, I tend to just grab a suitable frame from Habitat and so far it has been okay with what it looks like. I know a great frame job can really add to the print, but sometimes I would rather buy more prints than frames....
Any guidance on where to find Gilbert and George other than just googling as wouldn't taking a look for inspiration....

New Eelus go live and his site melts down..., by marshman on Jun 29, 2007 11:47:58 GMT 1, Answered my own question about spacers and all the framing options just by looking on this site.......... Oops perhaps I should have done that first!! Sorry guys.
Now I am panicking. I have quite a lot of prints in tubes as I just cannot stop buying art and dont have enough space to hang it all.
So its off to purchase a portfolio and all the gubbings and to sort out the stuff I already have framed. Thanks for all the fab advice on here even if it has scared the s**t out of me so much that I might go home at lunch and take the expensive stuff out of the tubes.

I can't understand why with all the great art about at the moment you want 5 pictures that are all the same......
